Built on honor, forged by hand
Drengr Design was founded on a simple belief: that a renovation should be built to last generations — and that the people building it should carry themselves with pride, honesty, and craft.

What it means to be a drengr
In Old Norse, a drengr was more than a worker. It described a person of courage and integrity — someone who kept their word, did honorable work, and stood by it. It's a rare word for a rare standard.
We chose it because it's the standard we hold ourselves to on every jobsite, every day: work done with pride, budgets kept honest, and a promise that means something when we shake your hand.
Values we build into every wall
Craftsmanship
We build the way it was meant to be built — square, plumb, and true — with materials and methods that outlast trends.
Transparency
Clear, itemized proposals and honest updates. You always know where your budget and timeline stand.
On Time
A schedule you can plan your life around. We finish when we say we will — that's the whole point of a promise.
Accountability
One point of contact, one team responsible. No finger-pointing, no surprises — just ownership.
Partnership
Your home, your vision. We guide with expertise but design around the way you actually live.
Local Roots
Proudly based in North Wilkesboro, serving our neighbors across Wilkes County with the care of a local.

Renovations of every scale
Drengr Design handles all types of renovations — everything from loft bathrooms to complete home transformations. No project is too small to earn our full attention, and none too large to manage with care.
Our process is transparent from start to finish, so you get the design you want, within budget, and on time. That's not a slogan — it's how we've built our reputation, one home at a time.

A builder’s story
Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho and raised in Superior, Colorado, Brian Tyler graduated high school in 2004. After falling on hard times, he answered a bigger call and joined the U.S. Army in 2006.
He served on active duty until 2012, deploying to both Iraq and Afghanistan with the storied 10th Mountain Division. He continued his service in the Colorado National Guard from 2012 to 2014 — years that forged the discipline, accountability, and grit that define his work today.
After his service, Brian pursued his education across several schools before finding his home at Wilkes Community College, where he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Architectural Technology. He returned to complete a second AAS in Building Construction — pairing design vision with hands-on building expertise.
In 2022, Brian founded Drengr Design and earned his General Contractor’s license, bringing old-world craftsmanship and military precision to every home he builds across Wilkes County.
